Buffy the Vampire Slayer & Angel the Series

Okay, I admit it I am a Buffy addict. I am always hesitant to admit I watch this show because I thought it was hokey, and while it does have some hokey moments (not to say I don't love the hokey moments!) - it also has its funny and touching moments as well. Season 7 began September 24, 2002. Unfortunately, we in Fargo did not have a local UPN channel, so I had to rely on the good users on Kazaa to get my Buffy fill that season. I still haven't seen all of Angel Season 3, but plan to get to it eventually. DVD sets for all seasons are out. I'm far more familiar with the Buffy episodes than I am the Angel episodes, having seen most of Angel only once compared to multiple times for Buffy.

It would be hard for me to sum up my favorite moments, because there are so many moments in the combined 12 years Joss gave us in the Buffyverse. Buffy Season 2 probably remains my favorite season. It was the season where we learned that no one was safe, Joss would not be afraid to rip our hearts out, put them back and give us a glimmer of hope that all would be okay, and twist it one last time before ripping it out again.

As far as my favorite characters? Well, Buffy, of course. I know many people don't care for her, and I admit I don't understand that opinion. I'm not saying people aren't entitled to it, I just don't get it. I like all of the core characters with the exception of Cordelia. I just don't like her. I don't know why, I can't explain it, and it's no reflection on Charisma Carpenter. Perhaps when I set out to view the Angel DVD sets my opinion of her will soften. And, that's not to say that I don't believe she didn't add to the shows.

The only thing I do know I won't change my mind about when it comes to Cordelia is the whole Angel/Cordelia thing. The very idea of it just makes me want to vomit. It felt forced to me, which may be part of the reason I didn't like the storyline. And, plus, Angel's willingness to get involved with Cordelia seemed to directly conflict the whole point of why he left Buffy. Maybe we were supposed to forget that, but I couldn't do it.

Look for Buffy Season 8 comic March, 2007!

The Season 8 comics have been going for 8 months now and are going strong, still selling well from everything I can tell. And this has led to...

Angel Season 6 comic November, 2007!

Finally, we'll find out what happened in LA and who of the Fang Gang got out alive.

You will find links pertaining to both shows below. For those that don't know FX airs Buffy reruns daily. TNT airs Angel daily. They do a better job of not over-editing but they choose to go to commercials at odd moments sometimes.
