Gone With the Wind Retold *Complete*

This story is my version of Rhett & Scarlett's relationship. It is based loosely on Margaret Mitchell's story, but it adheres to little of the actual story.

This next story is a rewrite of the jail scene. A friend suggested I write it from the perspective that Rhett takes Scarlett up on her offer of herself for the $300 for Tara's taxes, but with the snag thrown in there that Scarlett & Charles never consumated their marriage. I plan on adding to this story, so look for additions to this story as well.

This story starts out with a chance encounter for Rhett and Scarlett in New York while Scarlett's there identifying the body of her uncle. I will be adding to this story until you see the words The End. July 6, 2003, after a hiatus from my GWTW fics, I have started to work on them once again. After reviewing, A Chance Encounter, I have decided to end it where it is. I apologize to those waiting for more, maybe I'll change my mind and add to it. But for now, please consider it complete.

This next story takes place about six months after Rhett's leaving Scarlett. He receives an unexpected letter from Wade Hampton, encouraging him to return to Atlanta and give his life there, including Scarlett, another chance.

This next fic is set in present day. Ella Kennedy's great great great granddaughter finds a journal that Ella wrote about Scarlett, Rhett, their life together as well as Ella's own life. I have a couple of ideas where exactly this story is headed, so I can't give you any specifics on what exactly is going to happen. You, like I, will have to wait and see how it writes out!
