Death By Sudoku by Kaye Morgan, A Sudoku Mystyer #1, Rating: A

Having had enough of the fast life, public relations specialist to the stars - and separated from her husband, Liza Kelly returns to her hometown of Maiden's Bay, Oregon where she publishes sudoku puzzles in the local paper under the name Lize K. She returns to the LA are for a sudoku tournament where she runs into an actor her firm has represented in the past who is also her friend to some extent.

After revealing something a bit off the wall to Liza while showing her an audition film, Derrick Robbins turns up dead the next day. No one believes her explanation of Derrick's conspiracy theory paranoia, so it's up to Liza and a few of her friends to finish the investigation Derrick started.

Death By Sudoku is a nice story. One doesn't have to be a sudoku fan to get enjoyment out of the story, and there are even tips and puzzles included in the book. Liza is a believable character, at a crossroads in her life going back home hoping to find answers to her problems.

There is a cast of secondary characters that fit right into Liza's life and it becomes clear toward the end she's not going to be able to keep them as separate as she'd like. Overall, an enjoyable read. The mystery was fun, not overly predictable without so many twists and turns that you got lost along the way. I gave Death By Sudoku an A and look forward to reading more Liza K exploits soon!
