Summer of 69/f happily married living in Fargo, ND with my husband and two daughters. I have a BA in Theatre from Bemidji State, 1990.

'ships I like: Anita & Jean Claude, Booth & Brennan, Bender & Claire, Buffy & Angel, Buffy & Giles, Buffy & Lindsey, Buffy & Riley, Buffy & Spike, Buffy/Angel/Spike, Dawn & Connor, Dawn & Xander, Faith & Robin, Bo & Hope, Steve & Kayla, Eve & Roarke, Mal & Inara, Lorelai & Luke, Lorelai & Christopher, Rory & Dean, Rory & Jess, Rory & Logan, Rory & Tristan, Rhett & Scarlett, Claire & Zach, Peter & Niki, Kate & Sawyer, Christine & Erik, Shawn & Juliet, Carrie & Big, Hannibal & Clarice, Lex & Lana, Stephanie & Ranger, Betty & Daniel, Mac & Dick, Veronica & Lamb, Veronica & Leo, Veronica & Logan, Veronica & Piz, Veronica & Wallace, Veronica & Weevil, Sarah & Ian, Mulder & Scully.

My fan fiction reading tastes are not exclusive to the above 'ships, I'm always open to a good story. The only 'ship, however, that I will not read is Angel/Cordelia, under any circumstances. I don't care how good it is or if it's just hinted at. I just won't read it! The fics I write are het fic with a smattering of gen fic, too. I admit, I'm not a big slash fic fan but there are a couple of slash 'ships that intrigue me (Buffy/Faith, Buffy/Willow) and a couple of tri fic 'ships, too (Buffy/Angel/Spike, Buffy/Giles/Xander, Buffy/Faith/Spike, Buffy/Faith/Angel, Buffy/Willow/Giles, and Buffy/Willow/Xander.)

Theatre/Movies I like: The Godfather, Gone With the Wind, Hannibal, Phantom of the Opera, Serenity, Silence of the Lambs

I read: P Cornwell, J Evanovich, C Feehan, S Grafton, J Grisham, LK Hamilton, S Hamilton, S Kenyon, S King, WK Krueger, K Reichs, JD Robb. Anita Blake, Temperance Brennan, Eve Dallas, Dark Hunters, Alex McKnight, Kinsey Milhoune, Cork O'Connor, Stephanie Plum, Kay Scarpetta, Hannah Swensen.

I'm a loyal fan of: Packers, Cubs, White Sox, Bulls, Blackhawks, Heat (via Pat Riley), and even da Bears (shhh, don't tell anyone!). Locally, go Bruins & Bison.

I'm an adoptee who's found her birth family. I've lost a child. I've lost a parent. My ex was a drug addict so I got to deal with all the stuff that goes with that: jail time, theft of property, loss of money, etc. My oldest was sexually abused at the age of 5, we had to deal with that and the prosecution of the family member that committed the crime.

I'm spiritual more than religious but am Christian. I was raised Lutheran, my husband is Catholic and do attend Mass with him on occasion. My youngest will attend perochial school.

I'm a Libertarian and believe firmly in a person's rights as long as their interests are peaceful and honest. I'm a staunch supporter of Dru's Law, a law for a national sexual offender database. The man who abused my daughter was almost released without being extradited for a second state's sentence! I believe in an adoptees right to his/her medical information and believe that adoption records should be open in these instances.

I am political but not militant unless I feel my rights are being infringed on *s* I do vote, and it pisses me off when people who don't vote complain about the state of things.

I believe that our youth and our elderly should be treated with respect and cared for. It breaks my heart visiting my grandmother that I'm the only visit some of these people get. I believe higher education should be affordable. Don't we want educated people running our country? Don't we want our country to have a future? I'm all for helping foreigners, but how about the people in our country? We have homeless, starving, jobless, and suffering people here. Let's clean up our own act, provide for the future leaders of our country and then start worrying about others. The welfare system needs to be revamped. It should be a short term aid not a long-term crutch. But this goes back to education, if it was affordable people could get better jobs that would keep them off welfare. It pisses me off seeing people abuse the system when there are others who could legitimately use some immediate assistance get refused for one reason or another. Put our legal citizens to work at a reasonable wage. Are gagillion dollar salaries, bonuses, perks really necessary when they're riding on the blood, sweat, tears & hard work of employees? Send the illegals home until they can come here the right way.

Let's stop worrying about the past and focus on the future. There are too many problems in the here and now that require attention. Should we learn from it? Yes, but we need to look ahead.

I've worked in the administrative field since 1991. I am a writer journeying toward publication. I write romance and am a proud member of Romance Writers of American and several of its chapters.

I grew up in Arlington Heights, Illinois. I attended Arlington High School 1983-84 before it closed and then moved to John Hersey High School where I graduated in 1986, a year early. I am a proud alum of Bemidji State University, where I obtained my BA in Theatre/Speech in May 1990. I moved back to the Arlington Heights area in Fall 1991 after having my oldest. My mom died after a nearly 5 year bout with ovarian cancer Jan. 7, 1992.

I married my ex and moved to Apopka, Florida in 1996 with my 5.5 year old daughter and his 3.5 year old son. I had my son in March 1999, he died June 4, 2000 in an accident. I lost custody of my daughter briefly because of his accidental death until I sufficiently jumped through the hoops the state required of me. We were blessed that her friend's mom (and a neighbor) took her in so I was able to see her regularly.

Divorced and looking to start over, I moved to Fargo in Fall 2001, where I am currently. I met an amazing man who I'm fortunate to have as my husband. We married July 27, 2003. We had a little girl June 2004, over 13 years separating my two girls. My husband adopted my oldest, September 2004 so we're a nice, complete family unit. After having the polar opposite, it's a nice, secure feeling for both my oldest and myself.

I have a pleasant relationship with not just my birth parents but their families as well. It's kind of like having a second family. Tack on my in-laws (my husband's 2 uncles have 13 kids between them) and it gets a little overwhelming trying to keep track of everyone. Between half/step brothers and sisters I have 26 nieces & nephews.

I have been fortunate enough to have a solid base of both good family and friends throughout my life. Most of the friends I have I've known since junior high and high school. (This is true for my brother also.) I never considered this to be odd until recently.

I have lots of interests, enjoy good conversation. So, feel free to drop me an IM or an email. You can find me on Blogger, MySpace, Xanga, and Yahoo 360 - all under apckrfan.
